Motif is worked in rounds with RS facing to form a Square. The rounded tops of the Heart are worked in rows.
HEART FULL OF PRIDE MOTIF SQUARE
Using Pink, ch5 and ss in last ch from hook to form a loop. Round 1 (RS) Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), 15tr in loop, ss to top of beg ch-3. [16 sts] Fasten off.
Join Purple in sp between any 2 sts.
Round 2 Ch2 (counts as first leg of cl), 2-tr cl in same sp, ch1, (3-tr cl, ch1) in each sp between sts, ss to top of beg cl. [16 sts, 16 ch-1 sps] Fasten off.
Join Blue in any ch-1 sp.
Round 3 Ch3, 2tr in same sp, 3tr in each ch-1 sp around, ss to top of beg ch-3. [48 sts] Fasten off.
Join Green in any sp between two 3-tr groups.
Round 4 Ch3, (2tr, ch3, 3tr) in same sp, *skip 3 sts, ss in sp between next 2 sts, skip 3 sts, (3tr, ch3, 3tr) in next sp; rep from * 6 times more, skip 3 sts, ss in sp between next 2 sts, ss to top of beg ch-3. [48 sts, 8 ss, 8 ch-3 sps] Fasten off.
Join Yellow in any ch-3 sp.
Round 5 Ch3, (3tr, ch3, 4tr) in same sp, *ch4, dc in next ch-3 sp, ch4**, (4tr, ch3, 4tr) into next ch-3 sp; rep from * 3 times more ending final rep at **, ss to top of beg ch-3.
[36 sts, 4 ch-3 sps, 8 ch-4 sps] Fasten off.
Join Smokey Orange in any ch-3 sp.
Round 6 Ch2 (counts as htr throughout), *(htr, ch3, 2htr) in same sp, htr in next 4 sts, htr in next 4 ch, htr in ch-3 sp at base of next dc (working over the dc from Round 5), htr in next 4 ch, htr in next 4 sts, htr in next ch-3 sp; rep from * 3 times more omitting final htr on last rep, ss to top of beg ch-2. [84 sts, 4 ch-3 sps] Fasten off.
HEART TOPS
With RS facing, join Red in 7th st from Round 6.
Row 1 (RS) Ch1 (counts as ch-1 sp), skip 3 sts, (tr, ch1) 6 times in next htr, skip 3 sts, ss in next st, do not turn. [6 sts, 7 ch-1 sps]
Row 2 Ch3 (counts as tr), skip 3 sts ss in next st from Round 6, turn, 2tr in first ch-1 sp, ch1, (2tr, ch1) in next 5 ch-1 sps, 3tr in final ch-1 sp, ss in fourth st from Round 6, do not turn.
[16 sts, 6 ch-1 sps]
Row 3 Ch3, ss in ch-3 corner sp from Round 6, turn, ch1, (pc, ch3) in next 5 ch-1 sps, (pc, ch1 tr) in final ch-sp, ss in ch-3 corner sp from Round 6. Fasten off.
Join Red in 7th st across next side of Square and rep Rows 1-3. Fasten off.
EDGING
Join Red in base of Heart.
Round 1 (RS) Ch2, (htr , ch3, 2htr) in same sp, 21htr up edge of Heart, 2htr in ch-3 sp from Round 6, (htr, ch2, htr) in next 5 ch-3 sps, ss in corner from Round 6 between Heart Tops, (htr, ch2, htr) in next 5 ch-3 sps, 2ht in next ch-3 sp from. Round 6, 21 htr down to base of Heart, ss to beg ch-2.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
