Square is worked in rounds with RS facing throughout. Colours are referred to as Yarns A-C. Change

colour on the final yrh of st before colour change is indicated. You can carry the unused colours across the WS or across the top of your sts enclosing the strand as you work. POWERFUL PEACE

Using Yarn A, make a magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), 11tr in loop, ss to top of beg ch-3. [12 sts] Change to Yarn B.

Round 2 Ch3, tr in st at base of ch-3, 2tr in next st, change to Yarn A, 2tr in next st, tr in next st, change to Yarn B, tr in same st as last tr, 2tr in next 2 sts, *change to Yarn A, 2tr in next st, tr in next st, change to Yarn B, tr in same st as last tr; rep from * twice more, ss to top of beg ch-3. [24 sts].

Round 3 Ch3, tr in st at base of ch-3, (tr in next st, 2tr in next st) twice, change to Yarn A, tr in next st, 2tr in next st, change to Yarn B, (tr in next st, 2tr in next st) 3 times, *change to Yarn A, tr in next st, 2tr in next st, change to Yarn B, tr in

next st, 2tr in next st; rep from * twice more omitting last 2tr on final rep, ss to top of beg ch-3. [36 sts].

Round 4 Ch3, tr in st at base of ch-3, (tr in next 2 sts, 2tr in next st) twice, tr in next 2 sts, change to Yarn A, 2tr in next st, tr in next st, change to Yarn B, tr in next st, (2tr in next st, tr in next 2 sts) 3 times, *change to Yarn A, 2tr in next st, tr in next st, change to Yarn B, tr in next st, 2tr in next st, tr in next 2 sts; rep from * once more, change to Yarn A, 2tr in next st, tr in next st, change to Yarn B, tr in next st, ss to top of beg ch-3. Join Yarn C in penultimate st.

Round 6 Ch3, *tr in each st to ch-2 sp, (2tr, ch2, 2tr) in ch-2 sp; rep from * around, ss to top of beg ch-3. [76 sts]

Fasten off.

Join Yarn A in any st.

Round 7 Ch1, *dc in each st to ch-2 sp, (dc, ch2, dc) in ch-2 sp; rep from * around, ss to beg dc. [84 sts] Fasten off.

Using Yarn A, surface crochet between Rounds 4-5.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
