Square is worked in a corner-tocorner (c2c) technique. Each row is made up of blocks, beginning with 1 block in Row 1, 2 in Row 2 and so on. Once the Square reaches the desired measurements the number of blocks is decreased by 1 each row back to 1 block on the final row. LATTICE & LACE

Ch8. Row 1 (RS) Dtr in sixth ch from hook, dtr in next ch, picot, dtr in final ch, turn. [1 block]

Row 2 Ch10, dtr in sixth ch from hook, dtr in next ch, picot, dtr in the next ch, ch2, skip final 2 ch, ss in ch-sp on first block, 1block in ch-sp, turn. [2 blocks]

Row 3 Ch10, dtr in sixth ch from hook, dtr in next ch, picot, dtr in the next ch, ch2, skip final 2 ch, *ss in ch-sp on next block across, block in same ch-sp; rep from * across to end, turn. [3 blocks]

Row 4 Ch10, dtr in sixth ch from hook, dtr in next ch, picot, dtr in the next ch, ch2, skip final 2 ch, *ss in ch-sp on next block across, block in same ch-sp; rep from * across to final ch-sp, plain block in final ch-sp, turn. [4 blocks]
