■ Any DK yarn in 3 colours

■ A 3mm (US C/2 or D/3) hook MEASUREMENTS

Square measures approx 10x10cm (4x4in) NOTES

Square is worked in rounds with RS facing throughout. Colours are referred to as Yarns A-C. DAISY DAISY

Using Yarn A, make a magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), 11tr into loop, ss to top of beg ch-3. [12 sts] Fasten off.

Join Yarn B around BP of any st.

Round 2 (RS) Ch3, BPtr around same st, 2BPtr around each st around, ss to top of beg ch-3. [24 sts] Fasten off.

Join Yarn C in sp between beg ch-3 and first tr of Round 2.

Round 3 Ch1 (does not count as st throughout), dc in the same sp, *ch2, skip 2 sts, dc in sp between 2 tr; rep from * 10 times more, ch2, ss to beg dc. [12 sts, 12 ch-2 sps]

Round 4 Ss to first ch-2 sp, ch3, (2tr, ch3, 3tr) in the same sp, *2htr in the next 2 ch-2 sps, (3tr, ch3, 3tr)

in the next ch2-sp; rep from * twice more, 2htr in the next 2 ch-2 sps, ss to top of beg ch-3.

[40 sts, 4 ch-3 sps] Fasten off.

Join Yarn B in any ch-3 sp.

Round 5 Ch1, *(dc, ch3, dc) in ch-3 sp, ch3, skip 3 sts, dc in sp before next htr, ch3, skip 4 htr, dc in sp before next tr, ch3, skip 3 sts; rep from * 3 times more, ss to beg dc. [16 sts, 16 ch-3 sps] Fasten off.

Join Yarn A in any ch-3 corner sp.

Round 6 Ch3, (2tr, ch3, 3tr) in same sp, *3tr in each ch-sp to next corner**, (3tr, ch3, 3tr) in corner ch-sp; rep from * 3 times more ending last rep at **, ss to top of beg ch-3. Fasten off.

Join Yarn C in any ch-3 sp.

Round 7 Ch1, *(dc, ch1, dc) in corner sp, dc in each to next corner; rep from * 3 times more, ss to beg dc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
