- YARN STOCKISTS Yarn and Colors www.yarnandcolors.com

Combine these merry trees by Kelly Wilson Moore with crochet ribbon and recyclable paper for planet-friendly wrapped pressies.

■ Yarn and Colors Must-Have (100% mercerised cotton, 50g/125m) 1 ball of each: Nordic Blue (064), Green Beryl (077), Pepper (032), Cream (002), Clematis (057) and Mustard (015)

■ A 3.5mm (US E/4) hook

■ A tassel maker or 20cm length of card

TENSION

Tension is not critical for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities required

MEASUREMENTS

Trees measure 8x8cm (3x3in) at widest point Ribbon measures 2.5x58cm (1x23in) or make to desired length

NOTES

Use the colours randomly to make the Trees. Change yarn colour at the end of each row after Row 2. Fasten off previous yarn but do not weave in ends; instead leave frayed. To make the Trees with 2 rows of the same colour, ensure you join the new colour at the opposite end so the frayed ends are on both sides. The Ribbon is made in 2 pieces, which are joined separately around the present using the fastenings added at the ends.

In the pattern the Ribbon is made 58cm long with 26 pattern repeats; to make to desired length, increase or decrease the starter ch in multiples of 6-chs.
