MAKING UP

Block carefully, following any instructions on the ball band. Weave in ends. Starting with the cushion cover WS upwards, fold cover so that the RS is uppermost and the back of the cushion is facing you. Overlap the Double Rib sections so that the buttonhole end with the fringe is uppermost and central to the cushion. Sew the side seams, including the overlapped section. Attach buttons adjacent to buttonholes. Insert cushion pad. DON’T MISS JANE BURNS’ BIRD CAKE TOPPER NEXT MONTH! ISSUE 158 WILL BE OUT IN SHOPS FRIDAY 31 MARCH.
