PROF B. SILKWORM

I have made a silkworm version of Alan Dart’s bookworm from issue 158, for my mum. He is dressed in a smoking jacket with embroidered body and has a smoking cap, with a tassel. I gave him a bookmark, also with a tassel on. I had a pair of glasses in my doll-making stash, and I used bits of old jewellery to make a tie pin and clasp fastening for his jacket. The pattern knitted up beautifully and the body shaping is very
