This June 2017 is Commit To Knit month, a charity knitting event organised by UK Hand Knitting (UKHK) aimed at giving knitters the chance to knit for meaningful causes all around the world.
We know from visits to our website that many of you are looking for charity patterns, and we also know that there are charities out there who use hand-crafted items to raise awareness, to campaign and to raise money. So we decided to launch Commit To Knit.
We launched our rst annual Commit To Knit campaign last year asking knitters and crocheters to make just one item for charity during the month of June and the response from all over the country was simply amazing.
In this special booklet, which has been so generously put together by Simply Knitting magazine, you will nd a number of patterns from our members that you can use to help your favourite charity.
We have teamed up with libraries across the country who have volunteered to host Commit To Knit events during the month of June. Many will take place on Saturday 10 June, which also happens to be Worldwide Knit In Public Day – the perfect excuse to get together for a good cause.
