KNITTING ADDICT

-

As soon as I got issue 164 and saw the witch tea cosy, I couldn’t wait to get started on it. I have just put the nishing touches to it and am really pleased with my attempt. I was really impressed with the pattern for the frog and witch’s hair. It was tricky but an ingenious way of not having to sew legs on a body. I love knitting but I’m not so keen on the sewing, so this was a bonus for me. I like it so much, I might just knit another as a Halloween decoration, especially as you so helpfully included a toy base to knit as well. Then, when I opened issue 165, I thought “Alan Dart’s done it again”! His Tree Trimmers are a great pattern and are simply gorgeous. Once I got stuck in I couldn’t help myself, I just had to complete the set. It made me want to get out the Christmas tree, Angie’s elves look amazing! We can’t wait to see them on her Christmas tree. but instead I made do with hanging them on a broom handle and getting my husband to hold the end while I took this picture – thanks Steve! I never thought I would ever be addicted to anything, but being a subscriber to Simply Knitting means I am constantly treated to fabulous patterns that have me reaching for my yarn stash and knitting needles. I can’t wait for my next x, I mean issue… Angie Keeler, Suffolk
