STRIPE SEQUENCE

Work 1 ( 1: 2: 2: 2: 2) rounds in Yarn A, 3( 3: 5: 5: 5: 5) rounds in Yarn B. Work these 4 ( 4: 7: 7: 7: 7) rounds 8 ( 9: 8: 8: 8: 8) times in total. Note Worked in the round, top- down.

COLLAR

Cast on 92 ( 92: 96: 96: 96: 100) sts using a 3 mm circular needle and Yarn B. Join to work in the round, taking care not to twist sts and PM to mark beg of round. Round 1 Knit. Round 2 (K2, P2) to end of round. Round 2 sets K2, P2 rib. Work in K2, P2 rib for 5 ( 5: 7: 7: 10: 13) more rounds, AT THE SAME work rib work stripes as follows: Yarn B for 0 ( 0: 1: 1: 2: 2) rounds, Yarn A for 2 ( 2: 3: 3: 4: 5) rounds, Yarn B for 3 ( 3: 3: 3: 4: 6) rounds. Continue to work in K2, P2 rib in Yarn B, working the sts as they appear on WS rows, shape neck back and forth in rows as folls: Row 1 Work to 8 sts past marker, turn, tighten yarn and rib 16 sts back, turn, tighten yarn and rib 24 sts, turn; continue as set, working 8 sts more on every turn until a total of 48 ( 48: 64: 64: 64: 64) sts have been worked, turn and work 1 round to beg of round marker. You will now continue to work in the round.

YOKE Change to a 4mm circular needle and Yarn A. Knit 1 round, inc 10 ( 10: 10: 10: 10: 8) sts evenly. [102 ( 102: 106: 106: 106: 108) sts]

Continuing in st st, insert 4 markers in the piece for raglans as follows: remove beg of round marker, K17 ( 17: 18: 18: 18: 18) sts, PM (this is the new beg of round and is between the Back and the left Sleeve), K17 sts, PM, K34 ( 34: 36: 36: 36: 37) sts, PM, K17, PM, patt to end. Begin working in Stripe Sequence, AT THE SAME TIME increasing on the first round as folls: Inc Round *K2, yo, K to 2 sts before SM, yo, K2, sl SM; rep from * to end. On the following round, knit into the back loop of the yarn overs to avoid holes. Repeat Inc Round every round 4 ( 6: 7: 7: 9: 10) more times, every alt round 7 ( 6: 7: 10: 10: 11) times, then every 3rd round 3 ( 4: 4: 3: 3: 3) times. 67) sts between 1st and 2nd marker onto a stitch holder, cast on 8 sts over stitch holder, work until 3rd marker, slip the 47 ( 51: 55: 59: 63: 67) sts between 3rd and 4th marker on a stitch holder, cast on 8 new sts over stitch holder, work to 1st marker. [144 ( 152: 164: 172: 180: 190) sts]

BODY

Continuing to work in Stripe Sequence and st st, change to Yarn A when Stripe Sequence is complete. Work until piece measures 36 ( 40: 44: 46: 50: 54) cm from shoulder, inc 44 ( 44: 48: 52: 52: 58) sts evenly on the final round. [188 ( 196: 212: 224: 232: 248) sts] Change to 3 mm needle and work in K2, P2 rib for 5 ( 5: 5: 8: 8: 8) rounds. Change to Yarn B and work 6 ( 6: 6: 9: 9: 9) more rounds in K2, P2 rib. Loosely cast off in rib.

SLEEVE

Slip sts from one stitch holder onto 4mm DPNs and cast on 8 sts. Join to work in the round and place a stitch marker (SM) in the centre of the new cast- on sts to mark beg of round. [55 ( 59: 63: 67: 71: 75) sts] Continue to work stripes and st st, changing to Yarn A when Stripe Sequence is complete. PM in this round to measure from. Cont to work in st st and Yarn A until 3cm from marker. Dec Round K2tog, K to 2 sts before SM, skpo, sl SM; rep from * to end of round. Repeat Dec Round every 2.5 ( 2: 2.5: 2: 2.5: 2.5) cm a total of 9 ( 11: 12: 14: 14: 15) times. [37 ( 37: 39: 39: 43: 45) sts] Continue until Sleeve measures 28 ( 31:

Change to Yarn B and work 6 ( 6: 6: 9: 9: 9) rounds in K2, P2 rib. Loosely cast off in rib. Work the other Sleeve the same way.

TO MAKE UP

Sew the openings under the Sleeves. Weave in ends and gently block to measuremen­ts, following any yarn care instructio­ns on the ball band.
