Row 2 K2 ( 3: 1: 2: 3) *P3, K3; rep from * to last 5 ( 6: 4: 5: 6) sts, P3, K2 ( 3: 1: 2: 3). Rep last 2 rows 5 more times, placing a stitch marker 2 ( 3: 1: 2: 3) sts in from each end on the final row.

Work in 12-row Slipped-Stitch pattern as folls, AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 st each end of Row 7, then every foll 6th row to 63 ( 65: 67: 75: 81) sts, and then at each end of every foll 8th row to 77 ( 79: 83: 87: 91) sts, taking extra sts into patt where there are enough sts to do so:

Row 1 (RS) With Yarn B, P to SM, sl SM, *wyif, sl3, P3; rep from * to 3 sts before SM, sl3 wyif, P to end.
