Simply Knitting

KIND WORDS

-

Here is my take on the reindeer tea cosy from issue 166, as I couldn’t nd all the colours in the list. The same issue contained a poem I wrote, inspired by my friends. A present from my youngest grandson inspired me to write this one: I opened a present from a grandson An envelope came into sight A subscription to Simply Knitting Imagine my sheer delight It drops on the mat without shopping That’s dif cult for me to do Packed full of ideas and patterns Which one will I choose to do? Free gifts of kits or needles Are some things to look forward to And codes for a discount on yarn And a chance of “freebies for you” I enjoy the crossword and puzzles Keeps my brain ticking over, you see So I can understand the patterns And knit something useful for me Other readers’ letters and photos Of projects that they have done Are a source of inspiration Also “Purls of Wisdom” and “Knit One, Purl Fun” Ideas to host a tea party So a charity can gain from our skills Great for getting people together And everyone knitting at will So keep up the good work Simply Knitting We can tweet, post a pic or hashtag Or simply e-mail our contributions To a truly inspirational mag.
