Work 5 rounds garter st as follows: Round 1 Knit.

Round 2 Purl.

Rep Rounds 1 and 2 once more then Round 1 again.

Cast off purlwise using the loose cast- off method as folls: P2tog, wrapping the yarn clockwise (the opposite to the normal way) around the needle. Transfer the resulting stitch from the RH needle back onto the LH needle and repeat.
