Welcome to Simply Knitting – Accessories! During spring and summer I usually find myself knitting a year’s worth of gifts for friends and family. In between tackling bigger projects you’ll find me experimenting with smaller patterns and yarn from my stash. It’s always good to have a selection of gifts ready to go!

To help spread the love, we’ve put together this fun collection of quick accessory knits so you can pick and choose from slippers, shrugs and more for your friends and family. We’re having a team knit-along for the Butterfly Beanie (p8), as everyone wants it for themselves or for a gift – it just goes to show, no matter what season, there’s always time for wonderful hats!

For a bit of pure fun, cast on Louise Smith’s gorgeous farm keyrings on page 4. Use your free kit, choose your favourite animal pair and cast on – happy knitting!
