This lovely bolero, designed by Sarah Hatton, features pretty lace and faux cable detail and is knitted in a soft yarn with a gentle halo

45: 50: 55) sts of Right Front with correspond­ing sts of Back, then place the Left Front sts on a needle behind the other 2 needles in your left hand and cast off the next 3 sts working through a stitch from each of the 3 pieces so that they overlap, cast off rem sts of Left front with rem sts of Back.

Place Sleeve markers 17 (18: 19: 20: 21)cm down side edges either side from shoulder seam. SLEEVES (MAKE 2) Using 4.5mm needles, pick up and knit 47 (51: 55: 59: 63) sts around armhole edge, beginning and ending at Sleeve markers. Change to 5.5mm needles.

Beg with a P row, work 5 rows in st st.

Dec row (RS) K1, skpo, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, K1. [2 sts dec’d]

Work 9 rows straight in st st.

Rep Dec row. [2 sts dec’d]

Rep last 10 rows once more. [41 (45: 49: 53: 57) sts]

Work 3 rows straight, ending after a WS row. Change to 4.5mm needles.

Beg with a RS row, work 2 rows in rib as set on Back.

Cast off in rib. Join side and sleeve seams. Weave in ends. Block gently to measuremen­ts, following any yarn care instructio­ns on the ball band.
