EASY TO KNIT YOU WILL NEED

■ Yarn A white DK yarn from your stash ■ Any DK yarn in various colours (as detailed in the Chart) from your stash ■ A pair of 3.5mm needles

TENSION

25 sts and 26 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over Fair Isle pattern using 3.5mm needles

8.5cm (3 in) tall x 10cm (4in) wide, after sewing up

This pretty mug-hug is a perfect project for using up spare scraps of colourful yarn in your stash. The Fair Isle pattern sets o the cheerful colours of the yarn beautifull­y, as they look perfect together. It’s designed in a sleeve shape, without a fastening, so it’s quick and easy. The mug-hug works best with trendy tumbler-style cups. It’s great for keeping your favourite smoothie cool, too.

MUG HUG

Cast on 54 sts using 3mm needles and Yarn A.

Row 1 (K2, P2) to the end of the row. Cont in the 2x2 rib for 3 more rows. [4 rows in total]

Beg working from Row 1 of the Chart, starting with a knit row. Work all 17 rows of the Chart.

Next row Using Yarn A, (K2, P2) to the end of the row. Cont in the 2x2 rib for 3 more rows. [4 rows in total]

Cast o in rib. Weave in all loose ends. With RS facing, sew the seam together. Turn the right way out.

HOW TO USE OUR CHARTS
