Tension:

22 sts and 28 rows to 10 cm over reverse stocking stitch on 4 mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension.

Central cable panel (18 sts) measures 6,5 cm.

Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles, if more use thicker needles.

Join right shoulder seam.

Beg with 2nd row, work in rib as given for back for 3 cm, ending with a WS row.

Cast off in rib.

Finishing

Join left shoulder and neckband seam. Mark points along side seam edges 21 (23) 25 (26) 27 cm, either side of shoulder seams.

Fold sleeves in half lengthways and placing folds to shoulder seams, sew sleeves to back and front between marked points. Join side and sleeve seams.

Pin out sweater to the measurements given. Cover with clean, damp tea towels and leave to dry.
