Heads up: When working on the arm piece dec make sure that you can dec 1 sts for every YRN. If not possible, do not YO but knit the respective st.

Decreasing:

Selvage st, k2 sts at the start of the row, then sl1 knitwise, k1, psso; work across within the last 5 sts then k2tog, k2, selvage st.

Back

With size 4 mm needles CO 82 (90) 98 sts and work 8 cm in rib pattern, starting the 1st WS row with selvage sts, p1, k2. In the last WS row on both sides inc 1 st after/ before the selvage st [inc 1 each by picking up the horizontal loop between sts and purl through the back loop] = 84 (92) 100 sts. Cont with size 5 mm needles as follows: Selvage st, k1, then work the rapport of 20 (22) 24 sts or 22 (24) 26 sts in hole pattern, ending on k1, selvage st. After the 1st row 92 (100) 108 sts are on the needle. After approx. 39 (43) 46,5 cm in height, after 84 (94) 104 rs measured from the end of the rib pattern or after 20th (22nd) 24th pattern row, work st st across the the middle 2 rapports and at the same time BO the middle 24 (26) 28 sts for the neckline, to both sides of the neckline dec 4x 1 st in every 2nd row like described. After approx. 45 (49,5) 54 cm in height after a 36th (40th) 44th pattern row BO the remaining 30 (33) 36 shoulder sts knitwise.

Front

Worked same as the back but after approx. 33 (36) 39 cm in height after 68 (76) 84 rows measured from the end of the rib pat or after a 36th (40th) 44th pattern row, work st st across the the middle 2 rapports and at the same time put the middle 24 (26) 28 sts for the neckline on a stitch holder, to both sides of the neckline dec 4x 1 st in every 2nd row like described.

Arm pieces:

Close shoulder seams first. With size 5 mm from the middle 42 (46) 50 cm of a side edge pick up 78 (86) 92 st and p1 WS row, then con as follows: Selvage st, k5 (6) 6 sts, then work the rapport of 22 (24) 26 sts 3x in hole pattern, ending with k5 (6) 6), selvage st.

Heads up: For the hole pattern start on the 21st (31st) 25th) pattern row. In order to shape the sleeves dec to both sides 1x 1 st in every 7th row, then 8 (7) 2x 1 st in every 8th, then 3 (5) 11 x 1 st in every 6th r and then BO 2 (3) 5x 1 st in every 2nd row = 50 (54) 54 sts. After 97 (101) 101 rows measured from the start of the arm piece or after a 20th (22nd) 44th pattern row work st st another 2 rows, to both sides dec evenly 8 sts in 2nd (WS) row [p2tog each] = 42 (46) 46 sts after approx. 36,5 (38) 38 cm arm length. With size 4 mm cont to work rib pat. BO all sts after approx. 44,5 (46) 46 cm arm length. Knit the second arm piece the same way.

With circular needle knit the remaining 24 (28) 28 sts on front piece and pick upp approx. 90 (96) 100 sts along rest of the neck line = approx. 114 (122) 128 sts.
