1 (1) 1 ball – col 24 terracotta­Knitting needles:

Circular needles size 3½ mm (40 and 60-100 cm)

Circular needle size 4 mm (60-100 cm)

Tension:

With needle size 3½ mm work the basic pattern: 21-22 sts in width and 33 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm.

Switch to larger or smaller needles if necessary.

Rib pattern: *k2, p2, rep from *.

Reverse stockinett­e stitch: *p1 RS row, k1 WS row, rep from *.

Moss stitch: *k1, p1, rep from *, alternate the stitch pattern in each row.

Basic pattern: Working with circular needles and push the sts to the end of the needle with the respective colour

BACK

Cast on 84 (96) 106 sts using 3½mm needles in dark brown and work 4 cm in rib pattern.

In the last WS row evenly inc 25 sts [inc 1 each by picking up the horizontal loop between sts and purl through the back loop] = 109 (121) 131 sts.

With needle size 4 mm knit in basic pattern when reaching 5 cm in height.

Working the 1st row of the last stripe (caramel) in approx. 52.5 cm in height, cast off the middle 33 (35) 35 sts for the neckline, to both sides of the neckline cast off 3x 1 st in every second row.

After the 172 rows at approx. 56 cm in height cast off the remaining 35 (40) 45 shoulder sts knitwise.

FRONT

Work same as for back; but in approx. 48.5cm in height working the 1st row of the second last stripe (caramel and beige) slide the middle 29 (31) 31 sts for the neckline on a stitch holder, cast off to both sides 5x 1 st in every second row.

SLEEVES

Cast on 40 (44) 48 sts using 3½mm needles in dark brown and work 5.5cm rib pattern.

With size 3½ mm needles work basic pattern but start with 24 rows moss sts in dark brown and beige, then work 119 rows of the basic pattern from * to * = a total of 143 rows.

At the same time: After working rib pattern, in order to shape the sleeves, inc on both sides 8x 1 st in every 8th row and 12x 1 st in every 6th row (2x 1 st in every 8th row and 20x 1 st in every 6th row) 21x 1 st in every 6th row and 3x 1 st in every 4th row. [80 (88) 96 sts]

After the 143 rows in approx. 49 cm in height cast off all sts knitwise. Work the second sleeve the same way.

FINISHING

Wet block your work to measuremen­ts and let it dry covered with a moist cloth.

Close shoulder seams, sew on sleeves, then close sleeve and side seams.

With the short circular needle pick up and knit the remaining 29 (31) 31

sts for the neck facing in dark brown; pick up approx. 95 (97) 97 sts evenly over rest of neckline = approx. 124 (128) 128 sts. Now purl 2 rnds and knit 1 rnd. cast off all sts knitwise.
