7-10 November CAMBRIDGE YARN FESTIVAL Online

This online festival has plenty to offer, all from the cosy comfort of your armchair! Tune into the festival’s Instagram from 7-9pm from Monday to Thursday for four evenings of yarny goodness brought to you by a host of fantastic yarn dyers, spinners, designers and project bag makers.

17 November NOTTINGHAM YARN EXPO

Browse a fabulous array of stalls and stock up on your stash, then why not sit and knit while you listen to live music?!There is wide choice of fascinatin­g and practical workshops from your favourite designers too.

Harrogate Convention Centre, Kings Road, Harrogate HG1 5LA This is the largest in the north of England and you’ll be sure to find hundreds of workshops, a mouthwater­ing array of exhibitors, the curated textile gallery and the free Creative Living Theatre daily demos from your favourite knitting experts (and sewing celebritie­s), plus a catwalk show or two.

27 November YARN DYEING WORKSHOP

Knitting Needle Lane, 41 Walpole Road, Cambridge CB1 3TH Join Jem (Under The Olive Tree Knits) and Camilla as they create a splash of colour and teach you how to dye yarn in this hands-on workshop in Cambridge. There’s plenty of free parking and all equipment is provided.
