Row 1 (RS) *P1, k2tog leaving the sts on the left needle, then knit the first st again, drop both sts off the left needle, P1; rep from * to end. Row 2* K 1, P 2, K 1; rep from* to end.

BACK

Cast on 94 (100: 106: 112: 116: 122: 128: 134: 138: 144) sts using 4.5mm needles.

Work in twisted rib pattern as follows:

Row 1 (RS) P1 (0: 1: 0: 0: 1: 0: 1: 1: 0), work Row 1 of twisted rib pattern to last 1 (0: 1: 0: 0: 1: 0: 1: 1: 0) st, P1 (0: 1: 0: 0: 1: 0: 1: 1: 0). Row 2 K1 (0: 1: 0: 0: 1: 0: 1: 1: 0), work Row 2 of twisted rib pattern to last 1 (0: 1: 0: 0: 1: 0: 1: 1: 0) st, K1 (0: 1: 0: 0: 1: 0: 1: 1: 0).

Rep these 2 rows until work measures 18cm, ending after a WS row.

Change to 5mm needles.

Starting with a K row, work in st st until work measures

38 (40: 40: 40: 41: 42: 43: 44: 44: 45)cm from cast-on edge, ending after a WS row.

SHAPE ARMHOLE

Cast off 4 (4: 5: 5: 6: 6: 7: 7: 8: 9) sts at the beg of the next 2 rows. [86 (92: 96: 102: 104: 110: 114: 120: 122: 126) sts]

Dec 1 st at each end of next row (RS), and every RS row until 76 (80: 82: 84: 86: 90: 92: 94: 96: 98) sts remain.

Work straight in st st as set until armhole measures 19 (19: 20: 21: 22: 23: 24: 24: 25: 25)cm, ending after a WS row.

SHAPE SHOULDERS

Cast off 10 (11: 11: 11: 11: 12: 12: 12: 13: 13) sts at the beg of the next 2 rows. Cast off 11 (11: 11: 12: 12: 12: 13: 13: 13: 13) sts at the beg of the next 2 rows.

Put the rem 34 (36: 38: 38: 40: 42: 42: 44: 44: 46) sts onto a stitch holder.
