Small business shout out!
Tell us about Misguided Sheep…
Hello! My name is Victoria and I live in a little village in Pembrokeshire. I started Misguided Sheep in 2021 – it was born through the business my husband and I have making wool dreadlocks (Lumos Locks). These are mostly custom orders so I needed somewhere to let my creativity run wild! There is also something so very deeply satisfying about yarn that I can’t quite put my finger on.
What can knitters find at your online shop?
I have handdyed yarn, handdyed roving and a small amount of handspun yarn. My shop is filled with what makes me happy – if I don’t like it, I change it! When I work with wool I am driven towards anything that is super soft, so it is prominently Merino and Polworth roving.
What are your highlights for 2022?
This year my signature collection will be released – these are colours that will permanently be available to buy and have samples so you can see exactly what to expect when you are using them. I also have something special in the pipeline, a new charity box that is released every month with a 100g skein of yarn, a free pattern and a few extras too. I have a lot of causes close to my heart that will all get a month in the sun with a percentage of sales going directly to them.
Where can we find out more?
I am everywhere! @misguidedsheepuk on Facebook, @misguidedsheep_uk on Instagram and www.misguidedsheep.com is my website. I also pop up at local craft fairs whenever I can, as I love the chance to get out and meet likeminded crafters and have a good yarn squish.
