APRON NECK LOOP

Rows 56 to 93 Knit. Cast off.

APRON STRINGS (MAKE 2)

Cast on 30 sts using 3mm needles and Yarn E. Cast off.

Place Apron on Body with seam at centre back, matching garter st waistband to waist. Place Apron Neck Loop around upper Body and sew to opposite corner of Apron top. Attach Apron Strings to Apron waistband and tie in a bow at back.

HEAD

Cast on 6 sts using 3mm needles and Yarn A.

Start at front of face.

Row 1 (RS) (Kfb) 6 times. [12 sts]

Row 2 and foll WS rows Purl.

Row 3 (K1, kfb) twice, K4, (kfb, K1) twice. [16 sts]

Row 5 (K2, kfb) twice, K4, (kfb, K2) twice. [20 sts]

Row 7 (K3, kfb) twice, K4, (kfb, K3) twice. [24 sts]

Row 9 (K4, kfb) twice, K4, (kfb, K4) twice. [28 sts]

Break yarn and thread through rem sts. Pull tight to fasten.

Place safety eyes on each side of Head about 3cm back from cast-on at front of face, leaving 3cm between them. Secure eyes at back with fasteners. Gather around cast-on sts and pull up tightly, then sew seam leaving a 4cm gap at base. Stuff, starting at front of face. Cut a length of brown embroidery thread and separate the strands. With photos as a guide, use 2 strands tog to embroider a Y shape in straight stitches for nose, followed by 2 curved stitches below for mouth.

OUTER EARS (MAKE 2)

Cast on 5 sts using 3mm needles and Yarn A.

Row 1 (WS) Purl.

Row 2 (Kfb) 5 times. [10 sts]

Rows 3 to 13 Starting on a WS purl row work in st st.

Row 14 Ssk, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. [8 sts]

Rows 15 to 17 Starting on a WS purl row work in st st.

Row 18 Ssk, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. [2 sts dec’d]

Row 19 Purl.

Rows 20 and 21 Rep Rows 18 and 19. [4 sts]

Row 18 Ssk, k2tog. [2 sts]

Pass first st over second and fasten off.

INNER EARS (MAKE 2)

Cast on 4 sts using 3mm needles and Yarn C.

Row 1 (RS) (Kfb) 4 times. [8 sts]

Rows 2 to 10 Starting on a WS purl row work in st st.

Row 11 Ssk, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. [2 sts dec’d]

Rows 12 to 14 Starting on a WS purl row work in st st.

Pass first st over second and fasten off.
