What do you do? I’m the Community Fundraising Coordinator at Children with Cancer UK. I support our wonderful community of fundraisers, helping them to achieve their fundraising goals. I often visit people in the community who are interested in finding out more about our charity, raising awareness.
Latest fundraising news Children with Cancer UK is a leading children’s cancer charity dedicated to raising and investing funds into vital specialist research to save the lives of children and young people with cancer. Our mission is to improve survival rates and the quality of survival in young patients, and to find ways to prevent cancer in the future. Children with Cancer UK funds support for children and their families as they navigate treatment. What began as a small memorial charity in 1988, has evolved into a major force raising more than £300 million and investing in over 200 pioneering research projects.
What can knitters do to help? We’ve previously had a fundraiser knit mice in costumes to make a calendar and donate the sales of the calendar to the charity! Other supporters have knitted dolls, toys and clothing to sell. You could host a knitting class and charge people a donation to take part. Get in touch if you have an idea but need fundraising help, we’d love to support you!
