A new range of JBL headphones are set to hit Aus­tralian re­tail­ers among the new prod­uct range is the $400 JBL Ever­est 710GA over-ear wire­less Bluetooth headphones that come with Google As­sis­tant built in.

The built in AI as­sis­tant tells you the time when you press the touch­sen­si­tive panel on the side of the head­phone, when tapped or pressed, it ac­ti­vates the Google As­sis­tant from your con­nected phone. If you keep your fin­ger on the sen­sor it ac­ti­vates and ask the As­sis­tant all the stan­dard ques­tions it can an­swer, from play­ing your favourite tunes to ask­ing for nearby land­marks. The slick look­ing headphones come in grey with bronze de­tail­ing the cups are ex­tremely com­fort­able.

Launched at IFA 2018 in Ber­lin the new headphones will be in stores by Xmas in Aus­tralia.

the Ever­est 710GA headphones grip the head well with­out be­ing un­com­fort­ably tight and should work well for both male and fe­male users. Un­like some pre­mium headphones th­ese cans are not heavy, and you get up to 25 hours bat­tery life and wire­less play­back per 2 hour charge from the headphones. A hard car­ry­ing case is also part of the pack­age.

Also built in is ShareMe 2.0 con­nec­tiv­ity, let­ting you broad­cast your tunes to own­ers of any other Bluetooth head­set nearby, and an echo-can­celling mic for im­proved call au­dio.

There are also stan­dard hard­ware con­trols on the right hand ear cup, with power, play, pause, vol­ume and skip track con­trols at hand.
