JBL Google Assist Headphones

A new range of JBL headphones are set to hit Australian retailers among the new product range is the $400 JBL Everest 710GA over-ear wireless Bluetooth headphones that come with Google Assistant built in.

The built in AI assistant tells you the time when you press the touchsensi­tive panel on the side of the headphone, when tapped or pressed, it activates the Google Assistant from your connected phone. If you keep your finger on the sensor it activates and ask the Assistant all the standard questions it can answer, from playing your favourite tunes to asking for nearby landmarks. The slick looking headphones come in grey with bronze detailing the cups are extremely comfortabl­e.

Launched at IFA 2018 in Berlin the new headphones will be in stores by Xmas in Australia.

the Everest 710GA headphones grip the head well without being uncomforta­bly tight and should work well for both male and female users. Unlike some premium headphones these cans are not heavy, and you get up to 25 hours battery life and wireless playback per 2 hour charge from the headphones. A hard carrying case is also part of the package.

Also built in is ShareMe 2.0 connectivi­ty, letting you broadcast your tunes to owners of any other Bluetooth headset nearby, and an echo-cancelling mic for improved call audio.

There are also standard hardware controls on the right hand ear cup, with power, play, pause, volume and skip track controls at hand.
