Controllin­g Xbox One with Google Assistant & Home

Controllin­g your Xbox One is now easier than ever before, and although the integratio­n between Google Assistant and the Xbox One console is currently in beta, our handy guide below will make sure you can easily learn how to set this up yourself.

Connect Xbox One To Google Assistant

Don’t be put off by the fact this new integratio­n is still in beta – it’s super simple to get started and connect your Xbox One through your Google Home app.

1. First, join the official Google group.

2. Then, sign into the Xbox One console.

3. Now, in the Google Home iOS or Android app, tap Add > Set Up Device > Have Something Already Set Up? Before searching for ‘[beta] Xbox’.

4. Sign into the Microsoft account you use for the Xbox.

5. Continue to follow instructio­ns, link the Xbox and name it.

If you’re having trouble finding the Xbox within the Google Home app, go to Settings > Kinect & Devices > Digital Assistants on your console and ensure the setting is enabled.

Google Commands For Xbox One

Once you’ve connected the two devices and you’re set up, you’re able to control the Xbox One with your voice using a Google Assistant speaker or the app on your phone.
