This year’s regional CEDIA Awards were announced at a special event at the Integrate Expo held in Sydney during late August, and the great increase in entries and winners over 2016 is another indication of the resurgence of CEDIA in our region after a few years of scaled-back operations. CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) is a global organisation with 3700 member companies worldwide representing more than 30,000 industry professionals in the manufacture, design and integration of connected home products and services. The Asia Pacific award-winners recognised in Sydney go forward to the global awards — last year our region did very well in these, so we’ll report on those next issue! Meanwhile our thanks to the local and global CEDIA teams for their help in bringing you these stunning examples of the region’s best work in smart homes and home theatres.
