DALI Callisto speakers... with optional Bluesound module

-

DALI’s decision to adopt the BluOS of Lenbrook’s Bluesound wireless multiroom platform had been anounced prior to the show, but the IFA release confirmed the details. The wireless Callisto speakers connect to the DALI Sound Hub (right, an essential part of the system) via a 24 bit/96kHz connection, and from there a multitude of standard inputs – all with auto detect – allow Bluetooth, optical, analogue or coax sources to be used. The DALI Callisto series will be supplied without BluOS as standard, but you can purchase the optional BluOS module to be inserted into the Sound Hub — and then your speakers operate as part of a Bluesound system. The speakers themselves use a 6½-inch wood-fibre woofer and a hybrid tweeter module consisting of a 29mm ultralight-weight soŒ-dome and a high-performance ribbon tweeter. The drivers are fed by dual-channel 300W Class D amps. Pricing has been confirmed as: Callisto 6 active floorstanders $7495 pair: Callisto 2 active standmounters $4995 pair; Sound Hub $1195; BluOS Module $1195. More info: www.dali.com.au
