FOWL PLAY

A MAN is driving down a quiet country lane when a rooster strays out into the road. Whack! The rooster disappears under the car in a cloud of feathers.

Shaken, the man pulls over at the farmhouse and rings the doorbell. A farmer opens the door. Somewhat nervously, the man says: “I’m sorry, but I think I killed your rooster; please allow me to replace him.”
