1975 FORD TD CORTINA XLE

“THIS is my Cortina, running a 250 2V and four-speed. It was originally orange with vinyl roof, but I stripped it down for a long and heartbreaking seven-year rebuild. The car is a factory six-cylinder, and my father, who is a mechanic by trade, rebuilt the motor and had a 2V head shaved, ported and rebuilt with a 350 Holley to suit. I’m a panel beater and did all the bodywork and rust repairs myself with the help of a fellow workmate, laying down the custom Lamborghini Orange pearl paint. I then had the seats and trim redone in tan leather with orange stitching to match the paint, and added a set of Simmons FR17 three-piece rims with redwalls to finish the car off.”
