TIME ATTACKED

WE TOOK the Carnage MX5.7 up to World Time Attack at Sydney Motorsport Park last month and, boy, did we have a good time! The drift cars alone blew our minds, most of them being powered by monster LS combinations. We were also stoked to see Jarrod Pryor – winner of the Sidchrome Cobra – there with his family, enjoying his first car show in the Coyote-powered beast. HISTORY LESSON

HOLDEN has wound up local manufacturing, but the marque’s rich history has been preserved in a new coffee-table book, Holden: The Archives Collection. Weighing in at a hefty 5kg, the 400page tome charts the company’s story, from its beginnings as a saddlery to its transformation into an automotive manufacturer and the way it has helped shape the collective Australian psyche ever since the first FX rolled off the line in 1948.
