Working together

- — Dr Patrick Coughlan, Executive Director: Catholic Schools

Just as your child is the focus of your family, so too is your child the focus of Catholic schools across the Toowoomba diocese.

Two intertwining ambitions underpin our work — academic success for all children and that all children come to know and experience the loving presence of Jesus in their life.

Stretching the mind and nurturing the soul.

The foundation of the curriculum in our schools is a powerful and compelling narrative centred on the person of Jesus Christ.

Within this curriculum each child is challenged to find their passion in life — that thing which will demand more of them than they thought possible to give.

I believe that when you find your passion, you find your purpose in life.

I also believe that a Catholic education provides meaning for life.

With Catholic schools across south-western Queensland, from Toowoomba in the east, to Quilpie in the west and as far south as Stanthorpe we play an integral role in the mission of the church and in communities.

Under the leadership of Bishop Robert Mcguckin and in partnership with parishes and clergy, Catholic schools offer exemplary educational experiences for all.

I take this opportunity to commend the combined efforts of 1300 dedicated members of staff alongside parents and parish communities that come together in our endeavour.

Your contributions are integral to our success and bring our mission to life.

We are fortunate to have such talented and generous people as role models and teachers for the children across our diocese.
