GET RID OF ANY WINTER DRAB AND BRIGHTEN UP YOUR HOME WITH A SPLASH OF COLOUR

-

As the cooler winter months make their presence known things around the house can appear a bit plain, but that certainly should not be a reflection of the way you have to feel.

There are a whole heap of easy ways to make your home a warm and bright place this winter, even if you’re working to a budget.

Whether you’re looking to jazz up the bedroom, lounge room, living area or the kitchen, there are a lot of options to make your winter a little sunnier in the home.

Never fear if you have a monotone colour palette throughout the house — it makes it even easier to add some splashes of colour.

An easy option is buying a colourful throw to put over the back of the couch or the bottom of the bed.

Pops of pink, bright blues and citrus greens bring a summery feel to the home, and aren’t too overpowering.

They can also be found in many homeware or manchester stores around the region.

Pillows are easy as well, and can add a pop of colour almost anywhere.

For a little bit of DIY, it can be fun to paint old objects you’ve put in the back of the cupboard and revive them for the winter season.

Similarly, picking up colourful ornaments to place throughout the house can add some spark and personality without needing to spend a lot of money — some really great things can be found in discount stores and places like Kmart or Target.

For something a little more masculine, powder blue, warm oak and yellow are colours that can be put around the house to add a special spark.

Whatever it is, it can make all the difference.
