BORING TO ADORING

Now’s the perfect time to relight the fire in your relationship

-

You’ve been together for 20 years – you know what she’s going to say before she says it, she knows what you’re going to do before you do it.

That’s what true love is all about, but wouldn’t it be nice to freshen things up this Valentine’s Day?

Here are a few ideas to rekindle that love and celebrate why you came together in the first place.

GO HORSEBACK RIDING

Even if you’ve never ridden before, there are plenty of stables that will assist you with lessons, equipment and horses with a temperament to match your experience. Staff can lead you on a guided ride through the tranquillity and beauty of local bush trails or, better yet, head to the beach and ride along the shore with the waves crashing at your feet.

GO TO THE DRIVE-IN

If you’re old enough to remember going to the Drive-in on a date, memories of snuggling up as you watch the show will soon come flooding back. If you’re not old enough to have enjoyed the experience, you don’t know what you’re missing. Find the nearest Drive-in (yes, they’re still out there), park the car for optimal viewing and take in the rarity of a double feature. Who knows, you might even watch the movie this time.

TAKE A BALLOON RIDE

There’s nothing as romantic (or exhilarating) as silently floating into the heavens as you watch the sun break over the horizon. The solitude and privacy creates an overwhelming sense of togetherness. Even if you’re sharing the flight with others, you’ll still feel like the only couple in the world.

VOLUNTEER TOGETHER

There are a host of charity organisations out there that would love some assistance. Helping others is good for the soul and a great way for you and your partner to share the love that comes from making someone’s life better.
