Festival of fun
When Lauren Prestridge and Jake Brumpton married, all they wanted for their wedding on September 16 was for it to be fun for all.
The couple got to know each other while helping at a kids’ youth group and fell in love.
“I don’t remember exactly when I knew I wanted to marry Lauren, but I always hoped it would be her,” Jake said.
“She is loving, beautiful and so much fun.”
“Jake is funny, caring, smart and very handsome of course,” Lauren said.
Jake proposed to Lauren by at a picnic spot on Prince Henry Heights Dr.
“He hid the engagement ring inside a Kinder Surprise,” Lauren said.
As for the wedding day itself, Lauren’s two best friends were bridesmaids, while Jake had his brother and friend as groomsmen.
“Our colours were very pale pink and dark teal, but we didn’t really have a theme other than we wanted everything to be fun,” Lauren said.
“We had a lolly bar and photobooth at our reception as well as silly dancing.
“We went to the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Sideshow Alley to get photos taken — it was so much fun!”
