THE chilly weather has hit, and winter is officially upon us. But rather than bringing out your wardrobe of blacks, browns and greys, this season’s trends demand a pop of strong colour. Bright red, midnight blue, purple and army green are the main colours on the runway this season, but there are a plethora of other shades around as a bit of an 80s feel comes back in vogue. Bright pink is one colour particularly making a comeback. Long regarded as an untrendy material since its last spike in popularity, velvet is making a massive return. Another trend re-visiting this season is tailoring. Match these strong lines with heritage checks and tweeds or power dressing.
