AUTUMN gives us an abundance of fashionable options, with the best in racewear seen at the Weetwood Fashions on the Field competition at Clifford Park Racecourse. The field has been on fire in recent years and as a qualified personal stylist and regular FOTF finalist, I am here to give you the inside scoop on what to wear. On April 7, fashion and racewear lovers will gather for the Weetwood, and as part of the Winter Carnival, appropriate seasonal racewear is a must. Custom millinery made from felt, wool, leather and feathers are ideal, with crowns, halos, boaters and structured headpieces expected to steal the show. Bell sleeves and modest hemlines are on trend – think midi’s, mermaid skirts and pencil skirts – in navy, plum, burgundy, forest green and traditional blacks, greys and red.
