$18,000 “Prestigious” tiger on show in Toowoomba

-

Painted using only her fingers, Lydia Ciconte’s 2.4m tiger will feature at the Toowoomba Grammar School Art Show on the 24 and 25 March. “Prestigious” has arrived early in Toowoomba, so everyone can catch a glance of this incredible tiger before it goes on sale for $18,000 at the Grammar Art Show. The huge cat is on display until 20 March in the foyer of the TSBE Offices, entering via Milk & Honey Expresso Bar at 6 Ann Street. Also around town at nine locations from 10th to 20th March are the wonderful works of David Hinchliffe, Feature Artist 2018. Hinchliffe’s paintings of famous streetscapes of the world are becoming increasingly sought after following two sell-out exhibitions recently in New York. “Each year we aim to provide attendees with an incredible range of art, so there is something for everyone’s taste,” said Pam Brown, President of the Toowoomba Grammar School Art Show. This year a diverse range of 600 paintings from 200 artists ranging from $40 - $18,000 will be available on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Previews of the art can be seen on Facebook and Instagram @grammarartshow, with new images posted daily. The Toowoomba Grammar School Art Show is held every year shortly before the Easter school holidays. General entry on Saturday and Sunday is only $5, with a delightful Coffee Shop to make the outing even more enjoyable. Tickets for Opening Night and the sensational High Teas are available for purchase from (07)4687 2500 or www.grammarartshow.com
