NEW ALBUM FOR MERCURY SUN

Fans will be happy to know local band Mercury Sun are writing and recording a new album, due out in the next couple of months.

The four-piece, original, indie-rock band from Toowoomba formed late 2012 and have a unique style incorporat­ing elements of blues and roots, punk, indie pop and classic rock.

They have released two EPS, Waiting for a Beat to Break (2014) and Generation Why (2017).

The band members have been busy in the past few months playing alongside British India, Thirsty Merc, Wolfmother, The Grates, Trouble with Templeton, Closure in Moscow, Alex Lahey, Paper Kites and Temper Trap.

You can catch Mercury Sun at The Milk Factory in Brisbane on March 9 and The Spotted Cow on March 16.
