WHERE: The Glennie School Hall COST: $30 includes supper or $155 for annual subscripti­on WHAT: Hosted by the Australian Decorative and Fine Art Society (ADFAS) Toowoomba, monthly lectures from world experts on art, music, history, architectu­re and fashion. The 2018 lecture series begins with Dr Christophe­r de Hamel who will share the secrets and stories of medieval illuminate­d bestiaries. Other highlights for 2018 include Adrian Dickens’ presentati­on on The Possession­s of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, David Rosier’s talk on The Dowager Empress Cixi (1835–1908), the Genius of Antonio Stradiveri by Toby Ferber and Professor Neil Sinyard’s presentati­on of Gustav Mahler and Death in Venice.
