Young Irwin TV host

THE youngest Irwin is following in the TV hosting steps of his Crocodile Hunter father and big sister, Bindi.

Robert Irwin, the nineyear-old son of the late Steve Irwin, will co-host Wild But True on Discovery Kids Asia. Robert says the program, which explores parallels between nature and sci- ence, is a ‘‘really, really cool concept’’ for a TVshow.

‘‘It’s about how science has gotten ideas and built from inventions from the natural world,’’ he said.

Robert and Bindi appeared regularly on their father Steve Irwin’s show before he died from a stingray injury in 2006.
