From humble beginnings in 2001, the Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster came to life quietly as a simple one night affair – a pleasant dinner in the stunning East Kimberley for local businesses. Since then it has grown at lightning speed to be firmly established as a bucket-list must do event in the national festival calendar. The 2017 Muster (as it is affectionately known) boasts over 30 events across 10 exciting days with a huge array of Australian talent mixing with local flavour making this the party of the year! The jewel in the Muster’s crown, the Kimberley Moon Experience, is back with huge line-up of Australian music royalty, rock’n’roll legends Jimmy Barnes and Daryl Braithwaite along with country music superstar sisters The McClymonts! Renowned chef, restauranteur and TV personality Colin Fassnidge will be hosting the Kimberley Kitchen, a cooking demonstration and food conversation on the banks of Lake Kununurra (presented by Kununurra Country Club Resort), as well as preparing and hosting the Durack Homestead Dinner, an intimate long table dinner under the star at the historic homestead. Due to overwhelming public demand, native food superstars Fervor are back again preparing a Degustation Dinner as well a 3 course Breakfast using local produce and native foods foraged from the region. A true Muster favourite, the Waringarri Corroboree Under The Stars is also back in 2017, as are other program highlights, the Ord Valley Muster Rodeo, the 36th Annual Dam To Dam and Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow held at the Hoochery Rum Distillery, which will have you in stitches. Some new events have also been introduced to the exciting calendar of events, including the Chia Co. Yoga Boat supported by Kununurra Cruises, the Literary Lunch with Alan Carter (award winning international crime novelist), the Heart of El Questro tour and loads more. Great Air & Land Travel Packages available to help you get there and make the most of your Muster experience – for full details check
