Help in full flight as RSL readies for Anzac Day

-

THE Darwin North RSL subbranch has been given a lick of new paint, a scrub and a mow ahead of its Anzac Day events.

About 40 air force and Army personnel spent Friday giving the property needed care.

No.452 Squadron Darwin’s squadron leader, Paul Scott, said the clean-up helped the RSL as the branch relied on donations and volunteers.

“It was probably the first decent clean-up since the beginning of the wet season,” he said.

“The catafalque party is over here where the dawn service is going to be, so that’s had a lot of attention because that’s where the ceremony is and the rest of the area we’re doing general maintenance,” he said.

Members of the squadron will attend the service at the Darwin North RSL along with an expected 500 other people.
