Max funds hit target
TERRITORIANS have dug deep over the past three days and raised more than $108,000 for baby boy Max Kirby.
The youngster is battling a cancerous brain tumour and will go under the knife tomorrow as Dr Charlie Teo attempts to remove the grade 2 ependymoma from Max’s brain stem.
The operation is expected to cost $110,000. Because of the high cost, a GoFundMe account was started and almost 1200 people and businesses have shown their generosity, donating an average of $90 each. Donations have ranged from $5 to $3000 from Keith Phelps.
