Big crowds at Mindil, DSO

-

TERRITORIANS and tourists have flocked to the Darwin Botanic Gardens and Mindil markets overnight.

Revellers were spoiled for choice as rock group Rhapsody joined forces with the Darwin Symphony Orchestra to bring the hits of Queen to life at the Darwin Botanic Gardens Amphitheatre and India@Mindil attracted plenty across the road at the iconic beach markets.

In a shinning example of the Territory Dry Season at its best, a stunning sunset warmed the thousands of music lovers while all the colour of India and its exotic foods satisfied the rest.

India@Mindil, now in its 21st year, entertained the crowds through traditional music and dancing and two dozen food stalls.

Many festival-goers were spotted leaving with henna tattoos while the Queen-inspired orchestra played.
