Saltie’s snappy skills see sustained success
BURT’S psychic abilities have earned the 5.1m Territory croc international stardom, with fans across the globe marvelling at the saltie’s snappy skill predicting winners.
Burt’s talent has a near-perfect success record.
His abilities were thrust into the international spotlight last year when he correctly picked Malcolm Turnbull to win the Federal election.
Sadly, the saltie’s gift was questioned just a few months later when he picked former CLP leader Adam Giles to win the NT election against Labor leader Michael Gunner.
After the controversial selection, rumours of a possible political bribe surrounded the saltie.
Crocosaurus Cove crocodile manager Charlotte Price said Burt could not be bribed, and insisted the noble saltie’s selection was simply misunderstood.
“He actually didn't grab the food, he actually grabbed the photo – we think he was trying to eat him (Giles),” she said.
Burt’s most impressive pick was back in 2010, when the wise saltie correctly predicted the Darwin Cup winner out of 12 possible options.
“He’s done pretty well so far,” Ms Price said. CHARLOTTE PRICE
“Burt’s definitely a showman.”
More recently, he picked the underdog Maroons to beat the Blues in Wednesday’s Ori- gin decider. The Queens- landers, perhaps inspired by y Burt’s revelation, would go on to pull off an against the odds 22-6 point victory.
Despite his obvious tal- ents, Ms Price said Burtt wasn’t the easiest saltie to o work with at the cove.
“He’s been working with people for over 30 years. He knows how to manipulatee us,” she said.
“He’s arrogant, he’s a paini in the backside, he’s got a big ego and a big head – a massive diva.”
When not entertaining crowds, Ms Price said old Burt didn’t accomplish a lot.

there Burt doesn’t do anything,” she said.
“He jumps through hoops for the camera.”
The cove hasn’t ruled out asking Burt to pick the lottery numbers. l
