Committed to a cleaner Territory
NTRS is a locally owned and managed waste disposal and recycling company servicing Darwin and the Northern Territory since 2005.
The service has been long-time supporters of the Darwin Harbour Clean Up.
NTRS business development manager Paul Hammond said the clean up was great team work between the Seafood Council of the NT and their partners to help keep Darwin’s waterways as clean and free from rubbish as possible.
“The Harbour Clean Up Day is an important way to raise awareness of the issues created by rubbish entering our waterways and harbour,” Mr Hammond said.
“It’s a great chance for the community to get together and make a positive difference on the environment, so we’re proud to be involved.”
The way that the Harbour Clean up Day has continued to grow and be embraced by the local community is a great sign that more and more people are wanting to make a positive difference to the environment, Mr Hammond said. “NTRS are passionate promoters of the benefits of correct waste disposal and recycling and our goal is always to recover and recycle as much waste material as possible,” he said.
Keeping waste out of landfill and avoiding other potentially harmful disposal methods delivers great environmental benefits.
There’s also economic benefits as recycling is nearly always cheaper because you are removing other expensive landfill and disposal costs.
“All organisations and businesses need waste and recycling services designed to meet their unique needs and we are a local company with the specialist knowledge to help you increase their recycling and improve our environment,” he said.
“If you’re interested in maximising your recycling and minimising your waste disposal costs just give NTRS a call and we’ll be happy to come out to your business or organisation to do a full waste audit and advise how you can make positive improvements in these areas.”
