Wayne Outwide emerges among favourites for $1750 feature event

-

REIGNING trainers’ premier Jamie Hosking’s Wayne Outwide has plenty of early pace and box eight should suit him in the feature run at Winnellie Park tonight.

The three-year-old will be one of the favourites in the race-eight $1750 SBA Office National Sprint over 537m.

Henson Hill, back from a break for Andrew Lasker could be the surprise packet, while last-start winner Magic Cruiser (for Hans Spykers) and Worthy Moment (Brian Jacobson) will no doubt have claims.

For race one at 5.57pm, Carol Pickard comes into this race with a couple of newcomers in

Lochielle and Neve Arena will both warrant consideration.

Ada Maze Crystal (Joel Vansleve) can improve with some early luck.

Gossip Park (Peter Donnolley) is in good form and needs to be kept in the mix again in race two.

Hosking will be looking for his charge I’m Late to bring his best form in race three, and if he does will be hard to beat.

Darwin Cup winning trainer Brian Kelleher has Del Rey engaged in race four, and even back in distance (383m) will be hard to beat.

Bombay Rock has been a little disappointing of late for Lasker, but she will not get a better chance to get back in the winners’ circle in race five.

Greg Milne will think Tate’s Ransom (box one) from the ideal draw will take some beating with his natural early speed in race six.

Steele Bolton would be pleased to see his runner Lochinvar Style draw wider (box six) in race seven.

There was a lot to like about Allen Ichiro’s win last start for Jacobson, and he is the testing material again in race nine.

If Graeme Ferns’ Pontypiari is near his best he would be a terrific chance in race 10.

And Booberry from box eight may be able to get clear running and find himself back in the winners’ circle in race 11 for Joel Vansleve.
