Four men stabbed in fight

A MAN re­mains un­der po­lice guard in hos­pi­tal af­ter two peo­ple were stabbed in the neck dur­ing a fight out­side a pub in Syd­ney.

Po­lice say a knife was pulled out dur­ing an al­ter­ca­tion be­tween two men and three se­cu­rity guards out­side a li­censed premises in Smith­field about 10.15pm on Friday.

Two men in their 40s were treated at the scene for wounds to their necks while a third man, aged 45, was taken to West­mead Hos­pi­tal af­ter his head was stabbed.

A fourth man had mi­nor in­juries to his hand which were also sus­tained dur­ing the in­ci­dent. A 44-year-old man has been ar­rested but has not been charged.

He also re­mains un­der po­lice guard at the hos­pi­tal in Syd­ney’s west­ern sub­urbs.
