Roar add flair from Ligue side

BRISBANE Roar have announced that French winger Eric Bautheac will sign for the club next week, subject to a medical.

The 30-year-old attacker is a free agent after his stint with Ligue 1 side Lille concluded at the end of last season and announced his intention to continue his career in Australia on social media.

“My wish was to play abroad, discover a new country, a new culture and offer my children a crazy adventure!!” Bautheac posted on Instagram.

Bautheac has played more than 170 games in the French top flight with Lille, Nice and Dijon and scored 26 goals.

Roar coach John Aloisi said he was delighted to welcome a player with Europa League experience.
